Security is a real issue even though it is true that cloud computing is just as safe as traditional systems when it comes to apparent vulnerabilities and security holes. This is because of the nature of cloud computing, the public cloud, there are a lot more people with proximity access to the data. What I mean is that compared to an in-house system where there is virtually no connection to the outside internet, the whole world will now be potentially be able to just walk up to your door, so to speak, in public cloud systems.

Cloud Computing: Would You Trust Your IT Operations To An Outsider?

Cloud Computing: Would You Trust Your IT Operations To An Outsider? | Didactics and Technology in Education | Scoop.it

Trust it! Why not? With a cloud service there is certainly less internal politics. Especially in smaller companies (SMBs) IT departments can be a bit too intrusive, or let me change that, feel like they can be.

Hopefully this discussion will shed some light for those not directly involved in the information industry. It will also help you to answer the question, "Should I be in the cloud, and if so how do I get there?"....

Is Cloud Computing a Fact or Fiction? – infographic

Is Cloud Computing a Fact or Fiction? – infographic | Didactics and Technology in Education | Scoop.it

Is Cloud Computing a Fact or Fiction?

Cloud Computing: Fact or Fiction? is a new infographic from Devry University helping to explain the basics aboutcloud computing, and the clear up the common misunderstandings people have about the Cloud.

Cloud computing allows you to store, access and share data from Internet-connected devices in one central location.  As technology careers continue to grow across the U.S. and cloud computing creates nearly 14 million jobs by 2015, the Cloud is more important than ever.  Here are the fact you need to know about the Cloud – and the fiction than many believe.

This is a really clean and easy-to-read design, with a great color scheme.  The statistics to support each section are good, and clearly sourced in the long list of data sources in the footer.
