Emotive headline. Remote learning is not a bad joke. Poorly designed remote learning is bad. But you don't have to do it. Reading to/with you children, playing, doing activities, learning practical skills around the home (cleaning,cooking, building, etc.), talking, all will provide foundational skills that will ensure that your child is not left behind and will be better prepared for their/our new future.
