It is not possible for a human starts to run without has learnt to walk first. That is why I shared this short (but interesting) infographic in which details about the principles of adult learning are exposed, and whoever is interested in learning more about Andragogy should know before going deeper in the concept .This little introduction presents what adults are (how there are motivated, how they use their experiences); how adults learn (all that they want to learn); and how those principles should be applied (use the information of “what adults are” and “how adults learn” together). I consider that there is no another simple to be introduced to the world of the adult learning for beginners.

As was rightly commented in the post, while the educational technology has changed and evolved, the practice thereof has not, at least progressed likewise, That should now be the focus - the learning design and gteaching practice, rather than solely the technology.

How true I have a three year old son who is almost as good on the computer as I am. He can pick the sites he wants from a picture and use the mouse and the pad on my lap top. It is amazing. I'm glad as things change so should the way we educate.

Have you had people ask you why you choose to use infographics in your classroom? This presentation is by Mia MacMeekin, who has created many great infographics (some of which have been posted on this Sccop.it). The best way to access this is in PDF format. This file is quite large so here is a direct link to it: http://anethicalisland.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/rscon-presentation-22.pdf

Ross Parker has posted another infographic that ties into an earlier one (that looked at Style Comparison and was posted in this Scoop.it). This one looks at mindsets and how there are similarities today in the mindsets of teachers and students. He states "The two visualisations below are part of an ongoing attempt to define my views on education, and make these accessible to my students, fellow teachers, parents and leaders." If you click through to the post you will also see the first infographic and you may download them in a variety of formats.
