iWatch Reportedly Launching in October with iOS 8 and Curved OLED Touchscreen

iWatch Reportedly Launching in October with iOS 8 and Curved OLED Touchscreen | Technology in Business Today | Scoop.it
Apple's highly rumored "iWatch" smartwatch is expected to launch in October and will run a version of iOS 8, according to a new report from Japanese business newspaper Nikkei. Traditional watch-style iWatch concept by Gábor Balogh Sources tell the paper that Apple has begun finalizing specs for the device, as it will use a curved OLED touchscreen while utilizing biometric sensors to collect health-related data such as calorie consumption, sleep activity, blood oxygen levels and more, in line with recent rumors. Apple appears confident of the new product. According to a parts manufacturer, it plans monthly commercial output of about 3-5 million units, which exceeds the total global sales of watch-like devices last year. The news contrasts a report from Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brian White yesterday, which stated that iWatch production would begin gearing up this month ahead of a September launch alongside the iPhone 6. While not much is known about the iWatch's physical features, rumors have suggested the device will come in two separate sizes of 1.3 inches and 1.5-1.7 inches. It is also likely that the iWatch's biometric sensors will work with Apple's new Health app in iOS 8 in order to measure and aggregate health metrics.

I found this article very interesting because it gives readers a list of the best mobile marketing apps available. First, AffinityLive is a free app for iOS which allows you to keep up-to-date with your tasks anywhere. You always need to know what your plan is for the week (month/year) right? Next, Oracle Social Cloud is a social media management suite with an iOS app available. The app allows you to stay connected to your customers and with what’s going on in the world. Then, Pardot Mobile gives you access to your client contact information and data. You can instantly connect by email or phone to provide the best possible customer service. Next, Zoho Books is an iOS app for money management on the move. You can record your expenses and manage your bills right from your iPhone or iPad. Once a project is finished you can send your bill immediately. You can also travel the world and keep working as Zoho Books supports transactions in multiple currencies. Lastly, DirectIQ is an iOS app to view live reports of your online marketing campaigns, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. Holograms on a smartphone? I can hardly use my iphone 4S let alone stick around long enough to see Princess Leah dance out of my phone...what an extraordinary idea that could be a good one to send TOny Abott one with a hologram of Julia Gillard doing the misogyny rant in his face all over again.. Ahh there is hope yet.
