I am very impressed that Apple is offering a 30 minute coaching session. That is a great resource for educators. As distance learning can be overwhelming it is great to know there is this type of support. This will allow educators to prepare better for remote learning. This training will also assist in being able to create and share presentations.

The Best Features of iOS 13: Maps, Photos, Privacy, Health - WIRED

The Best Features of iOS 13: Maps, Photos, Privacy, Health - WIRED | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it

"ON MONDAY OF this week, Apple released the iOS 13 public beta, which, as its name suggests, is prerelease software that the general public can now download and test on their iPhones. The new software should do all of the things that an upgrade typically does for phones: It should make your iPhone, even an aging one, faster and more efficient. It will also add privacy and security enhancements.

But iOS 13 is also supposed to be transformative in a lot of ways. It will make your Photos app a pleasant destination, not a slog through a camera roll. It will let you use your Apple ID to sign into more apps and websites. And thanks to Dark Mode, it will make iOS look different."

Apple: The iPad is now the best computer for a lot more people - CNET | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
This time last year, the iPad -- and tablets in general -- faced an uncertain future after years of declining interest from consumers.

But in the past 18 months, Apple refreshed its low-end iPads and redesigned its high-end iPad Pros, prompting consumers to buy so many tablets that Apple saw its strongest iPad growth in six years during the first three months of 2019.

And with iPadOS, new software specifically designed for the tablet introduced in 2010 and famously called a "magical" device by then-CEO Steve Jobs, Apple is making it pretty clear that the iPad has an increasingly important place in the company's product lineup.

Jose Manuel Garza's curator insight, May 25, 2023 10:58 AM

According to Terry Heick, educators have seen new technologies come and go, and many of those were considered to be innovative and potentially could revolutionize education. Although the use of audio and visual media technology has helped teachers and students reach new educational standards, the tools themselves will not solve some of the age old problems that educators have faced for a long time now. Using teaching technology and computer devices to educate our students can only be successful if there is a clear cut objective and proper guidance to the learning objective and on how to perform the educative tasks using the tech apps and computers.  Technology tools like a computer are reactive,  so it requires the user to move the gears to make the tool serve its purpose and achieve the lesson and content objective.

Any and everyone can create music but everyone isn’t going to have the same taste and everyone isn’t going to like everyone’s music.

The source’s main purpose is to educate consumers about technology. This particular article is referring to a series by Apple called “Garage Band.” So this source is actually more than reliable when it comes to this.

This source isn’t a major resource for audio industry professionals.
