Excellent article! I love this idea for a project for my students. This is a great project for when we study still life photography. The article states that artifacts are great items to use to tell one's story, to connect people, to capture moments, and to reflect changes.

How to Introduce Photography with iPads to Your Students

How to Introduce Photography with iPads to Your Students | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
In today’s “selfie” generation, photography isn’t always seen as a high art form, especially among our students. Therefore, it’s up to us to share the work of prominent photographers and showcase what a powerful form of expression photography can be. Luckily, we can easily capitalize on our students’ love of technology to do this! And, […]

You don't need expensive equipment to get started with photography. Students can use iPads or other devices to learn photography. This is a great tool use in the classroom especially if students are all issued a device.

Tifanee Gladney's curator insight, March 22, 2021 11:33 AM

I chose this article because it gives some insight on how more portable camera options (cell phones, ipads, other tablets, etc) are growing in popularity compared to a more expensive DSLR camera or other professional grade equipment.

I have a group of students. They are between 14 and 19 years old, and something interesting about them is that almost all of them are interested in photography. I think that this type of courses are solutions for them to keep practicing English while doing a hobby they really enjoy. I share this for all the other English teachers that have students similar to mine.

Kodak Moments the app made for you | TheTechNews | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
The dictionary refers to Kodak moments as sentimental or charming moments worthy of capturing in a photograph, true indeed. Kodak is an American technology company that dominated the photographic film market during the 20th century. The downfall began when photographs became digitalized. Kodak passed behind the bankruptcy and reconstructed with the name Kodak Alaris. Kodak moments project is their new attempt to print or share your memories.
